DIY Disco & PA Hire

Our DIY Disco setup comes with everything you'd expect from a disco - but you get to be the DJ!

Both James & Abbie have been involved in running discos for children's parties and family events for well over 10 years, but when the main disco wasn't available or cost was an issue, we wanted to create a package that could be used by the person running the party without needing us to be there - and the DIY Disco was born! We have lots of repeat bookings and always get positive feedback from both event organisers and guests!

We hire out individual items as well, but our most popular disco package is the perfect fit for most events! We'll provide you a full sound system and some disco lights, then you just need to plug in your device & play some music, and you're ready to party!

This is perfect for events where you'd like total control of the music, as you can just create a playlist of your favourites ahead of time, then plug in your device and hit play! You can use whatever you'd typically listen to music through (e.g. Spotify / Amazon Music / Apple Music etc) and we'll even provide links to some playlists we've created of guaranteed floor fillers (see below)! As another option, we often use a free system called Festify which pairs with a Spotify account to allow your guests to vote for songs and add their favourites to the playlist during the event! You also get a wireless microphone which is perfect for speeches or announcements, and a full user guide to help you set up and use everything with ease!

If you pick up everything from us beforehand at IP1 5EQ & return it to us after the party - our standard package starts at just £45 per event, including all of the following:

• Full PA system including: 

  • 1x Audio Mixer (with options for connecting your music device via bluetooth or cable)

  • 2x Wireless Handheld Microphones

  • 2x 1000w peak active speakers & stands

  • All required cables

• Full Lighting & Effects setup including:​

  • 2x Neo-Neon PartyBar lights (4x LED pars on each stand for throwing lots of light onto your dance floor)​

  • 4x 'Disco Dome' lights (great for throwing dots of coloured light everywhere!)

  • 1x Small Smoke Machine with fluid (check with your venue that you're allowed to use this!)

• Complete user guide with instructions on setting up and using the equipment, tips for a perfect party & links to example playlists (see below!)

Our friends at JLA Sound and Light can also provide extra lights or bigger PA systems if required - but for events with up to around 100 guests this setup will be more than suitable - check out some of our reviews!
